U-Three Systems Work International consists of two sister organizations, registered in Washington, DC, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, bringing together a team of skilled, multi-disciplinary professionals dedicated to achieving our clients’ and our own objectives. Our mission is to strengthen the performance, management, leadership, and supply chain systems of African health systems, guided by the principle “By Africanists, For Africa.”
U-Three Systems Work International is now seeking expressions of interest from qualified professionals and organizations to collaborate on the USAID-supported Supply Chain Strengthening (SCS) Activity. This initiative focuses on improving the country’s pharmaceutical and supply chain management systems. We welcome submissions from experts in supply chain workforce development, supply chain performance improvement, data use for improved decision making, public-private sector partnerships, effective supply chain coordination, and related areas.

Requirements
1. Supply Chain Workforce Development
- Training and Capacity Building: Ability to design and deliver training programs aimed at strengthening the skills of supply chain personnel.
- Talent Management: Expertise in identifying, recruiting, and retaining supply chain professionals with the required skills and knowledge.
- Change Management: Competence in guiding supply chain teams through transitions, improving workforce adaptability to new systems and technologies.
2. Supply Chain Performance Improvement
- Process Optimization: Skills in evaluating and streamlining supply chain operations for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Performance Metrics: Ability to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of supply chain operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Proficiency in implementing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to improve supply chain processes continually.
3. Data Use for Decision-Making
- Data Analytics: Expertise in analyzing large sets of supply chain data to inform strategic decisions.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Ability to integrate data insights into planning and operational decisions to improve supply chain efficiency and outcomes.
- Information Systems: Familiarity with health information management systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools for supply chain tracking.
4. Public-Private Sector Partnerships
- Stakeholder Engagement: Competence in building and maintaining relationships between public health systems and private sector entities.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Expertise in working with diverse stakeholders to address supply chain challenges.
- Contract Negotiation: Ability to negotiate agreements that align with both public sector goals and private sector interests.
5. Effective Supply Chain Coordination
- Logistics Management: Skills in coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across departments or organizations to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Crisis Management: Ability to manage and coordinate supply chains during emergencies or disruptions, ensuring continued access to essential medicines.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Public Health, pharmacy, health related fields , (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management or public health supply systems.
- Prior experience working on USAID-funded projects is an asset.
- Proven track record in supply chain performance improvement or workforce development.
Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and health information management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across sectors.
Certifications: Relevant supply chain management is an advantage.
